Rainy Monday with Flat George

I purposely waited to post until I came home this afternoon so that I could show you my adventures with Flat George.  Only...

Mother Nature seems to be slightly confused.  We've had a few warm days but now it's just getting colder.  It rained heavily all day with thunder, lightning, snow and hail so we couldn't get any outside shots.  It's supposed to be like this all week but I'm holding out hope that it dries up one day so we can get some good shots outside.  There's a wishing tree that I wanted to show FG, plus a few other spots around campus.

Inside, I got some pix but my camera ran out of memory.  I'm gonna have to read the manual, I guess.  My memory card holds up to 500 pictures so I thought I could take that many at one time.  Apparently not.

And then my computer and I got into a shouting match and are no longer on speaking terms again.  Stupid computers - can't live 'em and can't live without 'em!

I'll post the pix I got today and come back with some more next Monday.  And then on Wednesday, I'll post pix of my baby boys.

Here's Flat George waiting for Theatre class to begin.
Flat George is enjoying learning all about National American Government.  This is the only class I bring books to. Poor FG lost his tail.
George and I were bored in History class.
Here we are sitting on the bench waiting for Psych class to begin.
Here's FG hanging out on the Psych white board.
Here's FG checking out the vending machine in between classes.  He wanted a treat but everything in there costs $1 or more so we didn't buy anything.
I realize these pictures aren't overly exciting so I promise to do better with the outside shots.

11 showed me some love:

We don't think we have seen FG go to college classes yet - so this may have been a first for him.

It has been a Rainy Monday here too as have most of the past several days. But sun is coming out tomorrow - or so they say.

Looking forward to seeing FG by that special tree.

And just getting to LOOK at all the snacks had me drooling about 87 spoons full of slippery slobber.

Thanks for your pictures and the tour with Flat George. I only recognize (i.e. can buy here in New Zealand) three things in the vending machine - the rest are a mystery to me!

We look forward to your next lot of pictures,
Riley and his mum.

Flat George... love it.

I'm sending you a little present in the mail this week. I can't put a note in it because of post office rules... so know that they are treats from you because you deserve an escape :) Since you couldn't afford to buy them for yourself, you can have mine.

Keep your eyes peeled my friend!!!!

Ha! Ha! Looks like Flat George had a fun visit with you!

About your camera - the memory might hold 500 pictures of a CERTAIN size so check your camera's settings - sometimes you might find that the pictures are set at a much higher resolution than you'll need (eg. 3.2MPG is more than enough for most things, especially blog posts - unless you're planning to blow it up to poster size) - so if your camera setting is taking pictures at 5MPG or even more, then each picture will be taking up more memory amd so you might only be able to get 200 pictures on your memory card - hope that makes sense?!

It's the same for uploading pictures to your blog - a lot of people just upload the original file which is HUGE and you don't need that, especially in a blog - but meanwhile, it's using up your storage limit on your blog. I always resize any pictures I put on Honey's blog.

If you haven't got it yet, download Picasa from Google - it's free and a great photo editing software - very easy to use and you can resize lots of photos in one go (using the "Export" option under the 'File' drop-down menu) and you can also lighten dark pictures and enhance them and so much more!

Good luck!
