A person of genuine convictions and great character. They inspired me to do what I'd always wanted to do, which was write. I have a lot to learn & I learn so much from my blogging friends like You. :-) I felt a blog was the best way to both learn to write and learn from others.

Blogging for me was a way of therapy that evolved into letting me self be exactly who I am and for 'finally' stop worrying what anyone else thought about me or care what other's opinions of my blog, writing, past or decisions. Those were all Hugh for me.

Keep us post on the assignment!!
Hugs,
CoreenVelvet Over Steelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08625445902301159594noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2498434592997562863.post-19964553483606696782011-10-27T04:02:16.134-06:002011-10-27T04:02:16.134-06:00I got into blogging a few years back because I fel...I got into blogging a few years back because I fell in love with a painting, which the Irishman made me aware of when we met, called "Meeting on the turret stairs". Trying to learn more about its story, I did an online search and one hit showed up as an image on a blog.

I got into reading that particular blog and liked it and decided to leave a comment. I realized I had to create an account to do so, thus I did. At that time I had no idea what a blog or blogging was, nor was I aware of the fact that ordinary people wrote them.;)
A few weeks down the road I mailed that particular lady telling her how much I enjoyed reading her blog and she encouraged me to start writing my own, thus a few months after that, I did.;) And the rest is history.

What I learned along the way is that I LOVE to write. It has also made me aware of so many beautiful things that occur to me in my every day life. I started to pay so much more attention to natural changes and subtle occurrences in my life and it has enabled me to put my thoughts and contemplation into a text. It has also made me develop my skills in photography.;)

I will most likely never stop as I love it, but I feel that at periods of time I write less and then I start writing more again. Originally I posted every single day, which was very hard. Now I feel a blog is my diary and write when I feel there is something I want to share with others or make others aware of, whether it is in text or picture form.;)

What surprised me the most over the years is the immense amount of wonderful people that I met and friendships that I have made trough this wonderful media.;))
Including yourself.;))

Hope this was helpful dear friend and sorry for my absence these days, I am simply not finding enough spare time.;))
xoxoZuzanahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02137958790178864561noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2498434592997562863.post-10509805343903395642011-10-25T04:11:41.075-06:002011-10-25T04:11:41.075-06:00I got involved in blogging because we were thinkin...I got involved in blogging because we were thinking of moving overseas – actually, to live in my birth country, Taiwan, for a year – and I was looking online for information about dog friendly places in Taiwan. I came across a dog blog written by a dog living in Taiwan and I just fell in love with it. It was so charming! And it was full of good information of places that the dog had gone with his owner, how dog friendly it was, Google maps and addresses and numbers and just so much useful information. I was so grateful and so impressed.

In the end, our plans changed and we never went to Taiwan but I was hooked on the idea of the dog blog and I thought I would start one for Honey myself and do something similar – write about her adventures back in Auckland and put information about any dog friendly places, services, etc in New Zealand so that other dog owners could benefit. It was also a great place to put the millions of photos that I took of Honey but had nowhere to display and no one to show it to (both me and my husband come from a family of non-animal lovers so no one would have been interested – besides, I hate boring non-dog people with dog stuff!)

Anyway, it all started as a bit of fun but I was really surprised at how it took off and how popular it became. I was introduced to the whole world of dog bloggers and we have made loads of good friends all across the world.

I think you have to enjoy writing to be really successful at blogging because it does take some commitment. I notice a lot of blog start up and then very quickly fade out to nothing, as soon as the novelty wears off. Also, I notice a lot of people complaining about not having anything to blog about. I never seem to have that problem! I usually have the opposite problem – I have a huge queue of posts to do and I'm always playing catch up. Honey has more adventures faster than I can blog about them! But I think you do need to have a certain mindset on so that you are always collecting good photos in the course of everyday life so that you can use them on the blog – and to be able to tell stories about the events that happened.

I think I enjoy blogging because I enjoy telling stories – and of course, I am a professional writer so I guess that comes naturally to me. It's also a very creative outlet which I enjoy, especially being able to combine pictures with the words.

Hsin-YiAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09116997529248428606noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2498434592997562863.post-28913437410184404032011-10-24T20:19:49.688-06:002011-10-24T20:19:49.688-06:00I started blogging to raise money for a fundraiser...I started blogging to raise money for a fundraiser for my rescue shelter. It was supposed to be a temporary thing, but I started reading a couple of pet blogs and thought they were great - and thought why not? Next, I started participating in the Saturday Blog Hops and met so many funny and creative bloggers and I was pretty much hooked!

Your pal, PipThe Daily Pip https://www.blogger.com/profile/17071013559078816245noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2498434592997562863.post-15622348580354698182011-10-24T19:34:15.569-06:002011-10-24T19:34:15.569-06:00I emailed you!I emailed you!Melissahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02491795869831026753noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2498434592997562863.post-36015863028783155972011-10-24T18:57:19.517-06:002011-10-24T18:57:19.517-06:00We got into blogging because a friend convinced Mo...We got into blogging because a friend convinced Mom to do it.
