Monday Madness
There really hasn't been anything blogworthy of note lately, so I decided to do one of these. Besides, it's been awhile since I've done one and they can be kind of fun sometimes! The questions all came from here.
1. What one rule did you always disagree with growing up?
I always had a very early bedtime, even in summer. I HATED it during the summer because none of my neighborhood friends had to go to bed early and I'd watch them playing outside from my bedroom window. I'd beg and beg and beg to stay up later, but my mom never gave in. Even when I was in high school my bedtime was 9:30. I somehow managed to drag it out until 10:00 though without getting into too much trouble.
2. What has been the most unconventional love in your life?
I have absolutely no answer to this question. I've had boyfriends, but never been successful in love. I absolutely adore my chi boys though, so maybe the answer is them?!
3. What color is the house or building directly across the street from your front window?
Now this is an easy one to answer! If I look directly out my front window, I see a long street. I live kind of on the corner and there are no houses directly in front of me. There's a lawyer's office catty-corner to the left that's made of brick. There's a house catty-corner to the right that's light brown/beige.
4. Show and tell. What comes to mind when you first see this picture? Or tell a story if it reminds you of one.
Apparently we went camping and fishing a lot when I was little. And apparently, I very much enjoyed these activities! I don't care much for either of them now, so that's a little surprising. I don't like the bugs, not being able to shower daily, lack of electricity, etc. when camping. Yes, I'm spoiled. And I don't like sitting in the hot sun for hours on end (which gives me wicked headaches now!), waiting on a bite, and smelling like fish at the end of the day. Plus, I don't enjoy fish or any other kind of seafood.

April Chewy Review
Big apologies to Chewy for not posting this in April.
Shiver and Chico settled on the Chicken Soup for the Soul Dog Treats. I had a big influence on the decision since I love the Chicken Soup books, but they made the ultimate decision. Our box came with a pamphlet this time, detailing lots of their other pet goodies. The only drawback is that it didn't list any prices.
These treats are all-natural and made with real chicken. They contain no soy, wheat, so, or artificial flavors. Best of all, they're made in the U.S., so you can be sure the ingredients are safe. Chicken Soup for the Soul supports adoption programs and shelters across the country, and features rescues and their owners on their bags. How cool is that? They also believe that mealtimes are bonding times, and I completely agree.
Aren't these cute? They're soft, chewy, and full of flavor. The boys LOVE them! Each heart shaped piece is only 8 calories so I can feel good knowing they're getting a healthy treat. A 6 ounce bag is only $4.99, which is very reasonable.
Don't like chicken? No problem, Chicken Soup for the Soul offers several other varieties! They also offer 15 and 30 pound bags of dog food.
Shiver and Chico give this eight paws up.

I received these goodies free of charge from Chewy.com in an exchange for my honest review.
