September Chewy Review

The boys are both still acting kind of odd whenever I give them a treat from last month's review so I was hopeful this month's treat would go over better.  It did not disappoint!

We ordered the Science Diet Flexi Stix and received a 7.1 ounce bag from Chewy.
They seemed to be the perfect treat since, "These soft and chewy treats are formulated for dogs with mobility issues, as they contain natural sources of glucosamine and chondroitin to promote joint health.  Made with real turkey, Flexi-Stix natural jerky treats can be rewarded regularly to provide daily support for healthy hips and joints."
Some of you may remember that Chico has suffered with luxating patellas in both hind legs.  While they don't seem to bother him for the most part anymore, it's still important to me to do what I can to ensure he doesn't suffer any more than necessary.
They almost remind me of little worms.  Sometimes I break one in half and make the boys share.  They tell me it's completely unnecessary to be so stingy and that at $5.24 a bag, it's not going to break me to let them have a whole one each.  They're probably right...
Gimme!

The chi's LOVE these!  I have to put the bag away as soon as I give them one because they can't contain themselves and will continue to beg for more.  They give these treats 8 paws up - four paws each!

We were not compensated financially for this post, but were provided a free bag of treats in return for our honest opinions.

Freak Alley Gallery

There's an alleyway literally a block and a half from where I work that I'd heard about previously, but was never quite sure where it was located.  I've been kind of exploring most days during the lunch hour just to pass the time and was excited to discover it was so close to where I work.  I've been a few times now and always see something new.  I was even more excited to find an actual gallery of additional artwork to go along with it.  The inside gallery is really small and smells heavily of smoke so I probably won't be visiting there often.  The alleyway is usually filled with others taking pictures like me.  Some of the artwork is really impressive, other artwork not so much.  New artwork is added each year.  This particular alleyway has inspired a similar project in my own town!  If anyone's interested, I can share those pictures next week.

Happy Labor Day

I'm finally starting to settle in at work and things are slowly falling into place.  I still have lots of questions but I'm feeling a little more comfortable.  My friend started last week so it's nice to have someone there that I know.  We haven't gotten to have lunch together yet and probably won't as long as we're there.  I'm so glad to be a temp there - the permanent employees work lots of overtime and weekends.  The company will be hiring more temps soon.

I like to go walking on my lunch hour and recently discovered Freak Alley Gallery very near where I work.  I'll share some of the pictures next week.  It's a cool place filled with artwork and it inspired a similar project in my town.

This past Saturday I went to a balloon launch.  They've done this for the past 25 years.  This is only the second year I've gone.  It's a 5-day event and the balloons can be seen in the sky for several miles.  I wanted to share a few pictures from the event because it was such a fun morning, even if I did have to get up at 5:00 AM!

Enjoy!
