Nothing much to talk about today. Not much going on but I always post on Monday's so I didn't want to not do it today.
My neighbor mowed my front yard last week which made the back yard look awful in comparison so I caved and mowed it all this morning. While doing so, I came to the conclusion that if I ever move to another house, I'd be quite happy having a small front yard and little to no grass in the back yard. My little chi's can play in the dirt! I'm really not one for yard work and will try to delegate it to others when I can.
Afterwards, I took a shower, dressed in a different outfit and went outside to admire my work. There was a little gray bird out front with a long, thin beak. It let me go up fairly close to it while I watched it walk around the yard checking for worms. It was such a pretty little thing! Then I got a little too close, I guess, and it flew away.

Happy Memorial Day to you too.
Nice helpful neighbor!
Cheers!
Let freedom ring from our mountain-tops to our valleys and from coast to coast. Let us NEVER forget the sacrifice of those who came before us, and those who serve now, so we may enjoy the freedoms of our beautiful country!
Little dogs DID serve in the military. If you look on our blog post today, you will see a little Yorkie in a pith helmet. If I am correct, a Chi served in WWII carrying messages from one encampment to the next. It was tiny enough and agile enough to carry notes back and forth without detection by the enemy. Size doesn't matter - it's the dedication to duty!
Happy Memorial Day! Next time you move, just make sure you have nice helpful neighbors on both sides, one to mow the front and the other the back :)... just kidding, I agree mowing can be quite a chore... but we dogs love the grass.
Licks, hero
Good job on mowing your lawn! It can be daunting task. :) Happy Memorial Day.
And I'm hooked on yard work, but after two weeks of it I might be feeling you a little. Or is that my aching back I'm feeling? :)
Hope you had a nice Memorial Day!
It sounds like you had a nice memorial day! I definitely think your chi will be more than content playing in dirt--screw the grass. :)
Happy Memorial Day. We don't have this holiday but we do have bank holiday Monday which doesn't sound quite as grand somehow!

So nice to catch up with you dear friend.
I am back from my break.;)
I hope you have had a lovely week until now. I think you would love my house, I have two large tiled patios, with potted plants and lined by shrubs. No lawn to mow.;) The lawn you see on all the pictures are common areas shared with neighbours and the men mow the lawn.;)
