Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to the Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water, and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together...

We all have our favorite blogs, and this was one of mine. I don't remember how I found Lynne's blog, but I remember thinking it was important to follow since she had chi's too. I was very saddened to read about Bridget's passing. My boys and I lit a candle for her the day we found out she had crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. I think we'll be lighting another for her today. Lynne told me that Bridge loved whenever anyone made a fuss over her, so it's the least we can do.
5 showed me some love:
We too were so sad for Lynne. It must have been a very sad Christmas. Bless Bridget we hope she is happy over the rainbow bridge.
Best wishes Molly
What a lovely post. Thank you so much! Bridge will be smiling to know you think so much of her. The photo by the computer is from our very first post. It will be so nice in time, to go back and read them all and look at the photos. Bridge was such a little character, a complete one-off and I will miss her always.
Give those boys of yours a hug from me.
Thank you again, Lynne x
These dogs are so cute....I am sure rainbow bridge helps many!!
What a cutie. So sorry for the loss. It is never easy.
We miss Bridget too. Over the years we've met and lost some great blogging friends. Some pass away, others just disappear without a word. But the good times and memories live in our hearts. Here is hoping you meet lots of new friends this year and stay connected to those you've met so far.
Happy New Year!
