May Chewy Review

Remember me?  Yeah, I've been an awful blogger lately.  :'(  Between working full time plus overtime, networking, and volunteering, I feel like I have no free time.  What little free time I do have seems to be spent sleeping.  It almost feels like I'm back in school again.  My job is coming to an end very soon so I've been trying to take advantage of every opportunity I can to get myself out there.  My job is supposed to end on Saturday, but my boss said that the big bosses are considering keeping us on a little longer if we're interested.  I'm not sure if that means for a few days, weeks, months, or what...  I'm sure we'll find out more this week.
I did take the time out to let my boys review another Chewy product this month.  They tried the Hills Ideal Balance Soft Baked Naturals Chicken and Carrots.  My goodness, you'd think I'd never fed them before with how excited they get over them!  They inhale the treat the second I hand it to them.
Look how cute they are!  They're just the right size for Chihuahua mouths and as the name implies, they're very soft.  Chico doesn't have many teeth left and they were perfect for him to wolf down.

They loved the taste, I love that they're healthy.  They're grain free, made in the USA, chicken is the very first ingredient, and there's no corn, wheat, soy, or added artificial preservatives, colors or flavors.  My vet sells this as well, so I know it's a product I can trust.  Luckily, we still have plenty left.  When we run out though, we will most definitely be purchasing more.
Here's Shiver enjoying a treat.

My boys give these eight paws up!

We were not compensated financially for this post, but were provided a free bag of treats in return for our honest opinions.

Happy Monday!

I hope everyone had a Happy Mother's Day yesterday!  The rain dried up and the sun came out here so I can't complain.  I went shopping in the afternoon and came home I carried some grocery bags in the house and set them on the floor for a moment while I went back out to the car to get the rest.  I'd bought Shiver and Chico each a stuffie and Shiver had grabbed it out of the bag before I had a chance to get the tags off.  The boys like to sniff the bags, but they've never stolen anything out of them like that before.  The tags have since been removed so all is good!

My mom was on vacay the last two weeks so I took care of her beagle during that time.  In the past, Chico has done anything and everything to show his love for that beagle.  It doesn't seem to matter to him that Scamp is also a boy.  I'm happy to report that Chico controlled his urges this time around and barely even paid attention to Scamp!  My guess is since Scamp has rebuffed him repeatedly, he finally realized that the romance was doomed and it was time to move on.

I officially have four more weeks of work left unless we finish up early.  In the mean time I've been applying for jobs here and there and doing volunteer work.  I graduated exactly one year ago this past Saturday and was reflecting on my life since then.  This is so not how I pictured it!  :'(  This is my reality though and I have to deal with it.

Remember when I saw that deer at work?  Well, I saw SEVEN of them all at once last week!  I tried getting a video of it, only I got a video of the sidewalk instead.  I did get pictures though!

The chi's are good.  I've been trying to do a little spring cleaning here and there when I'm not working or volunteering.  They probably feel like I'm ignoring them, so I need to spend a little more quality time with them.  I bought them new stuffies out of guilt.  Shiver is beyond happy with his.  Chico got a few minutes of play time in, dropped it, and hasn't paid a lick of attention to it since then!  Anyway, I'm hoping to get a walk in soon if it isn't too hot out and maybe we can get a photo shoot done then!

Dr. Tim's Metabolite Weight Management Formula Dry Dog Food, Part III

Yes, I'm still among the land of the living.  The last two weeks have been crazy busy with networking, volunteering, researching, petsitting, working, etc., and something had to give.  So blogging and sleep was it.  It almost felt like I was back in college, as busy as everything was.  I had a relaxing weekend though and was able to catch up on some zzzz's so it's all good!

I'm sure you're dying to know how my boys did on Chewy's Dr. Tim's Metabolite Weight Management Formula 30 day challenge.   Come on, you know you are!
We received a 30 pound bag to try.  As expected, this has lasted us well over the 30 day challenge!  Both boys are still enjoying the food, although Chico has decided that he prefers a mix of the old and new.  Shiver is more than happy with the new food.
Please notice there are two bowls of food here!
For whatever reason, the boys decided they both wanted to eat out of the same bowl the evening I took these pictures.  I don't know what's up with that.

Honestly, I don't know if I see a difference in their weights.  I haven't weighed them, but they don't look any slimmer.  They're still full of energy and Shiver is back to his puppy self.  He's definitely been more rambunctious this past month.  His poo doesn't smell nearly as bad either.

We would definitely recommend Dr. Tim's to others.  We still have at least half a bag left, so it'll be awhile before we need to think about ordering more.  However, we will seriously consider it when it's gone.  We'll go with a smaller bag though.  Thank you, Chewy, for including us in this challenge.
