Half Full Friday is a series of weekly posts that Eyegirl originally started in June 2009. We believe that a lot of our happiness is determined by our attitude about the things that happen to us. So by participating, I'm deciding to see the glass as half full instead of half empty; I'm choosing to concentrate on the positives instead of dwelling on the negatives. The Half Full Friday posts are a way to do just that. They're a list of the things in my life that have brought me happiness over the past week. I'm determined to find something good in each day. Are you?
For the next week, I'd like to challenge each of you to keep a list of at least one thing that brought you happiness each day. Be sure to link up here once you've posted your list! (This isn't a blog hop so please only link up if you've participated by posting your happy list. Thanks!)
~I'm happy because...
The bruising and swelling are minimal where the car door smacked me in the face! I'm still trying to figure out how that happened!
I finally got around to visiting most of you this week!
I enjoyed a McD's Shamrock Shake! It was a special treat for passing my psych midterm.
My psych midterm is done and over with! Now I just have to focus on my government class. It's not a midterm though, just a regular test.
Only one more week until Spring Break!
I got awarded Work Study as part of my financial aid next semester!
Tomorrow is the first day of SPRING!!!!!
No more incidents of almost killing my little fishy this week.
I had a fun shopping trip this week! Fun, but expensive!

Every year when I get my tax refund, I always do one big shopping trip. Mostly I just stock up on a bunch of household goods like laundry detergent, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, light bulbs, etc. I always enjoy it because it's the one time of year where I don't pay any attention to the cost. I love stocking up on everything so I don't have to think about any of that kind of stuff for awhile. And every year, I always allow myself at least one frivolous item -- this year it was all new makeup. And I bought it all -- from concealer to mascara. So nice to have all new makeup!
I also did a little shopping for for my Paw It Forward recipient, Katie! Her goodies got sent out on Thursday, hoping she likes everything. I couldn't leave my babies out so I got them some new tennis balls. Shiver can't seem to get enough of them. I got them some bone thingies too that they've been chewing on. The package says they're for teething puppies but my pups don't care -- they're chewing on them anyway. Wish my new camera worked so I could take a picture and show off my beautiful babies. I really need to go online and figure out where to send it to get it fixed under the warranty.

This coming week, I have an appointment to sit down with an advisor. I want to know what you can do with specific majors -- what kind of career field you can go into and what they pay. I intially went into college thinking that I wanted to major Business and Economics since I have a banking background. But then I took a government class and found I really enjoy it! Much more than I ever thought I would. Next week we're having a guest speaker coming in to talk to us about doing internships in Washington DC. Now normally I wouldn't really have cared about something like this but after my classes were done for the day, I found myself thinking about that internship as I hiked the zillion and twelve miles back to the car. And for some odd reason, I'm kind of excited about hearing what the dude has to say. Which is soooooo unlike me since I don't even hardly pay any attention to politics or what the government's doing. Looking forward to the guest speaker and the meeting with the advisor, both!
11 showed me some love:
What a week you have had!! Good luck this week and keep us posted :)
Have a wonderful weekend!!

Overall, a great week!!! So sorry about the car door incident. That has happened to me too, sometimes the wind is at fault, sometimes just not paying attention:(
Hope the meeting about the internship and majors helps you sort things out. Great decision to spend some of that money on something special for just you - that is a real uplifter to the spirits.
Hope you have a good weekend and another good week ahead.
Wow, spring break is only a week away, time is flying!! Good for you. :)

So glad that you have been able to do some shopping.;) I love the idea of stocking up so many household things.;) And I wonder what kind of make up you bought.;)
Sorry about the car door, ouch. That must have hurt. I once got my finger suck in the door and I know that took forever to heal.
I hope you had a lovely first spring day and I hope you will have a great first spring week too.;))

Yowch! I'm glad you're healing from that mean car door attack!! You do know that a certain doggie who follows you kinda near DC right?! (Ahem.. me.) I'm not interested in politics though. I'm excited for all of these new things happening for you! And the tennis balls too. FUN! Mom has to do her taxes this week now that school is closed for break.

Hey Lady! I was mad at Target for giving to a CRAZY Republican and I quit shopping there for like three months. But I forgave them because they also employ and are nice to my openly gay friends and they give a LOT of money to causes in our state - so I had to make up with them.
How did your meeting with your adviser go? Did you decide on a major?
