~I'm happy because...
It's SPRING!!!
Next week is SPRING BREAK!!!
I have a haircut scheduled for next week!
My mom's birthday is next week and I got her a gift I think she'll really like!
I have an appointment with an advisor at school today!
A friend and I went to dinner one day this week and had a lot of fun just talking and hanging out!
I got a free cappuccino yesterday!
I am jumping for joy at the thought of having an entire week off school! I love it but I'm ready for the break. My plans include sleeping in every single day, working on homework (I have some big projects to complete), spending time with the chi's, catching up with all my online friends, doing some reading for personal enjoyment rather than having to read for class and I'm also thinking of maybe going to the zoo. The art musuem is just across the street from the zoo and I get in free with my student ID so I'll stop by there as well if my hip decides to cooperate. But most of all, I just want to enjoy the free time and relax!
We were supposed to have a guest speaker in my government class on Monday but the dude never showed up. Disappointing because I was looking forward to it, even though I have no real interest in politics. This afternoon I have an appointment to talk with an advisor to find out what I can do with different majors and what they pay. I doubt I'll make a firm decision just based on that one hour conversation but it'll be nice to have more information and will give me something to think about.
I'm so happy it's spring! It's been very wet so far and not so warm but it's early yet - it'll get warmer and dry out before long. Sadly, I haven't really noticed any real signs of spring in my yard or neighborhood. The campus has daffodil's blooming already. I'd love to take some pictures of them if only my stupid camera worked. That's another thing on my to-do list for next week - send my camera in!
Oh! And speaking of that to-do list: I thought about it for awhile now and decided to use the $300 check from the insurance company to open up a savings account. The scratches are minimal and my car is older - 2001. If it were newer, I'd have it repaired in a heartbeat! I closed my old account when I lost my job and have always wanted to open another one back up ever since and even made that a part of my New Year's resolutions. I realize $300 isn't much but it's a good start.

Have a fantastic Spring Break girl, you deserve it!!! ~ Coreen XOXO
Great choice for the money - you can always use it if you have to, but it is a nice feeling to have that little cushion, no matter how little it is.
Enjoy your break, hope the weather is nice too because that will help make it even more enjoyable.
Woos ~ Phantom, Thunder, and Ciara

PS Happy Spring to you too!
I don't think $300 is a bad start AT ALL!! What a great idea!
My mom's on spring break now (though she works at school... she's not getting smarter like you!) and loving it! So much time to catch up on things at home. Sleeping in is number one on the list.
Can't wait to hear about your fun week!!

Happy Friday dear friend, on a Saturday.;)
Lucky you that you get a check from the insurance company - if this happened here, you can only use the money for the car repair and nothing else.;)
Have a lovely weekend and enjoy the spring break.;)
xoxo

Me and mom had a tiff on our walk today, but that's another story ;)
Have a good week and thanks for your visit.
See Yea George xxx
Hi Sprinkles,
Sorry for not visiting for ages! Been really busy with work deadlines and little Muesli!
Anyway, I'm so happy to read your post and see how everything is going so positively for you. You know I've been following you for a long time so I remember when you were still stressing after losing your job and what a hard time that was - so it's great to see you so happy and accomplishing so much!
And you're SO good with the savings account!! Very sensible and very wise - so many people would just squaunder it, even if they decided not to use it on the car.
It must be nice to feel spring in the air after your long cold winter! Bet the dogs are looking forward to going on some great walks now!

Spring break sounds fab! I'm jealous. My job doesn't come with a break, ha! I so wish it did!
