What I've Learned This Semester

Math 123:  Quantitative Reasoning -

-Logic:  The study of the methods and principles of reasoning

-Argument:  Uses a set if facts or assumptions, called premises, to support a conclusion

-Fallacy:  A deceptive argument - an argument in which the conclusion is not well supported by the premises

I've also learned that I hate using Excel.
English 210:  Introduction to Literature

Allegory:  

-2 levels of meaning - 
     -Literal 
     -Symbolic
-2 types of allegory - 
     -Historical/Political
     -Abstract

Political Science 402:  Campaigns and Elections - 

-Elements of a campaign plan
     -District profile
     -Opponent research
     -Precinct analysis
     -Polling
     -Voter targeting
     -Fundraising
     -Communications
     -Direct contact
Political Science 409:  Environmental Politics -  

-Estrogen causes male fish to become female; the eggs won't fertilize though and the fish often dies.

-SSRIs induce spawning in shellfish, and causes behavioral changes such as aggression.

(I hated Logic at school too...it never seemed...er...logical to me! ;-)
