Bad news first! Well, I didn't get the job that I interviewed for about 10 days ago. Got the call this morning and then a rejection letter via email a little bit later. Great way to start off the week, huh?
I had a psychic reading last year and he said three separate times during the reading that there was a lot of change around me through March 2010. I kept holding out hope that March would be the month I'd get a job. So when I did the interview and it turned out to be probably the easiest one I've ever done, I walked away feeling like I got it for sure. Then when I didn't hear back, called to follow up and was told that the person who does the hiring was out of the office until today, I just knew deep down inside that that wasn't the case. I felt good about it the day of the interview but the longer I had to wait, the more I kept thinking of all the things I could've/should've said or done. I don't know what I'm gonna do. I've applied and applied and applied without much luck. I'm afraid I'm going to lose my house and that makes me cry.
Anyways, I don't want to think about that so let's get to the good news! I won a giveaway!!! Fiesty Three are participating in GABE and their giveaway is a fancy dog collar and a donation to their local Shelbyville-Bedford County Humane Association. I love that they're donating to their local Humane Society! I got one of my dogs at my local Humane Society who has since passed over the rainbow bridge. I picked her out and my parents purchased her as a birthday gift for me many years ago. She was the best birthday present I ever got so I have a special place in my heart for the Humane Society. There were actually 3 winners for this giveaway - the 9th, 18th and 27th commenters. I admit that I did count the comments before I added my own but I miscounted and didn't think I'd won. Then when Cheryl told me I did, I had to go back and make sure! I was the 18th commenter. She asked what size I needed and since both my boys are chi's, I told her small. I figure whichever dog it fits best is the one who will have the honor to wear it!
Thanks so much for the Fiesty Three for making my day! I was SO excited when I found out I won. I don't often have much luck with giveaways and this one came at just the right time to help pull me out of a slight depression.
The snow has melted too so that's even more good news! It didn't melt so much as turn into slush from the rain. I will take rain over snow any day though! Wednesday is supposed to be sunny. Keeping my fingers crossed because I'm ready to experience the sunshine again!

Oh, I am so sorry about the interview.:((
Sometimes it just takes time before things turn around. Just do not lose hope and try to see everything positive.;)
But I can relate to the fear of loosing the house... I will try to think of anyone who badly want a job and doesn't have it, when I feel like not getting up some mornings to go to work...
Congratulations on the give away win!;))
Have a great day dear friend,

Hey you-Congrats on your winning. I know that things are very hard on you and we have talked about this all before. How we both have struggled so much--hard to believe that we are almost at 10% unemployment in our country while we spend MILLIONS AND BILLIONS on things that are pretty much pointless!
My point!?!
I am a SAHM now, but I used to do HR. I would love to look at your resume and help you out. What type of jobs are you applying for? It is a tough market out there. It took my husband the LONGEST time ever to get a job. I really hope that something works out for you soon.
Hey there!
You have been so much on my thoughts in the past few days...and I am really sorry about your job rejection!
What I admire about you is your incredible ability to stay positive amidst the stresses you are facing. Keep it up..you are such an example to all of us!
Hang in there!
My thoughts and prayers are with you!
