Monday blahs!

I was supposed to start school today.  There are several reasons why that didn't happen.  I'm sad about it, but it just wasn't the right time.  Maybe next summer...

Got these questions here.  It's an old one but I don't care!

1.  When are you at your best?

I'm at my best when I'm happiest.  I also think that I'm at my best when I'm stressed and have a million things to do in a very limited amount of time.  I tend to procrastinate, so when I know I HAVE to get things done quickly, I'm much more productive.

2.  What albums did you listen to the most growing up?

Growing up, my parents listened to country music.  I didn't mind it as a little kid, but began to HATE it as I grew older.  I'm an 80's kid (yes, I'm aging myself here!), so music from that era is what I love best.  I had a massive crush on Jon Bon Jovi and Bret Michaels, so I listened to all of their albums over and over and over and over again.  I also listened to White Lion, Guns 'N Roses, Motely Crue, Tattoo Rodeo and a million others.  Almost all of my money went to buy music.  I still have all of those albums on cassette tape, and some of them on cd.

3.  If God was about to send a thunder bolt down to earth to strike someone dead, who would you wish for it to be?

This is a very unpleasant question!  I used to really hate a lot of people and tend to hold long term grudges.  As I've gotten older, I've tried to be better about forgiving.  I don't forget, but I try to forgive.  There are people I greatly dislike for one reason or another, but I don't know that I would specifically want them to die.  That's just not good karma!

4.  Show and tell.  What comes to mind first when you see this picture?  Or tell a story if it reminds you of one.
This doesn't really remind me of anything.  This could be an old poster on a billboard or it could be a label on the side of a box.  I googled "New Zealand + apples" and discovered that it exports about 30 varieties of apples and pears.  I did not know that!  So I learned something new today, and hopefully you did too!

Not counting today, you've got 5 more days to get your swap goodies out.  I've only heard from a handful of you.  Don't forget, you need to get a tracking number when you mail your package, and then email it to me and your swap partner.  Once your receive your package, you need to let me know, and then do a post about what toys/treats you acquired.  I wanna see what ya got!

Hey Wylde One!
Wow, I'm sorry about the school thing, but I'm really hoping you get that set up for next Summer. Sometimes life just gets in our way. Anyway, nice list! My Mom's an 80's girls too and is CRAAAZY about that Bon Jovi guy! BOL. I forgot to do the tracking thingy, but my swap partner Oskar and I already finished our exchange and both posted about it. Hope you caught that from us. YOUR SWAP WAS A TOTAL BLAST!! Thanks so much for hosting it and I can't wait until next time! Take care.

I'm from New Zealand. The apple box reminded me of something I haven't thought about for ages which is when I used to stay at my aunts house in the country, and we would stop at local orchards and buy fruit from huge wooden crates that were so big (or I was so small!)that I couldn't reach my hands into the middle of the crates. My mother also went to buy apples from an orchard in the 1970's and came home with a kitten, as the mother cat had used one of the empty crates at the orchard for her kittens so mum got a free kitten with her bag of apples!

Sorry to hear that you didn't start back to school. Maybe some days off will be good for you. :)

We haven't forgotten the swap. We just printed off what our partner likes and will be going shopping Thursday and putting in the mail Friday. I will be sure to send you the tracking number. :)

I am sorry to hear you have to take the summer off of school. Life is full of ups and downs, unfortunately. My assistant has a bad case of the blahs, too!

Your pal, Pip

Happy Monday on a Tuesday dear sprinkles.;) Why didn't you start school?
So you were a rock and roll girl I take, from your taste of music.;)
The picture reminds me of some old store somewhere or an abandon crate that once held apples.;)
Have a great week dear friend,
xoxo

Great answers! That is so funny about the thunderbolt. I think the music you listen to when you are a teenager will always have a place in your heart.

I love the 80's!! I was heavily into the hair bands, and still refuse to get rid of the collection of hair band cassettes I have! And I had to subscribe to Sirius satellite just so I can get the Hair Nation station. I also still like the 80's pop and dance, at work I listen to the Awesome 80's channel on AOL radio. It seems, to me, that music went downhill after the 80's....sighhhhhh.
