I have some rather exciting news! I FOUND A JOB!!! I start next week. It's only temporary through the end of the year and possibly a little later, then I should be able to get back with my last job through June or so. When that's done, I can collect unemployment for a little while. This new job won't make me rich by any means, but it pays more than any other job I've ever had before so it makes me feel rich.

It's been a long time since I've done one of these. I was inspired by this post by Four-Legged Furballs. Questions came from here, a blog which, sadly, is now defunct.
1. When it might hurt their feelings, how do you feel about telling your friends the truth?
It really depends on what we're talking about. If someone asks if I like her new hairdo and I really don't care for it but I know that she loves it, I might tell a little white lie and say that I do. What I'd probably do is try to give a noncommittal answer so that I don't have to lie. That way I don't have to lie, yet I won't be hurting a friend's feelings unnecessarily.
If someone smells really bad, I doubt I'd say something because I wouldn't want to hurt their feelings. I've had this experience before where a good friend didn't shower regularly. I always wanted to say something but didn't know how to bring it up for fear of hurting her feelings. Fortunately, she seems to have moved past that stage and appears to bathe regularly now.
If it's something much more important, I'd likely tell the truth. I can't think of an example right this minute.
2. Peanut or plain?
2. Peanut or plain?
While I do like peanuts, I prefer usually plain. You?
3. Is there someone you would like to take your place in life for one day? Who and why?
3. Is there someone you would like to take your place in life for one day? Who and why?
I've never thought about someone else taking my place. Usually it's me thinking about trading places with others who have much more exciting lives. If I were to choose someone to take my place for a day, I'd choose someone who'd make my life better.
4. Show and tell. What comes to mind first when you see this picture? Or tell a story if it reminds you of one.

Good answers, I would like to take someone's place who has a more exciting life too - that would be most people, lol.

YAY!!! Congrats on your new job!!! And you never know, sometimes temporary really doesn't mean temporary and it could lead to something even better. Good luck. So glad to hear you have something good happening for you.

Congratulations!
I am so glad you found a job that will pay you well. Perhaps it will last longer than you expect.
I find it very hard to hurt someone's feelings even if they need to be told the truth.
Congrats on the job! Who knows how it will work out for the future. I like plain even though I do like peanuts.
Hey Wylde One!

Congrats on the new job! That's great.
Number one is tricky. I always struggle with this one, too - if you can help someone, but in order to do so might hurt their feelings - ugh. I'm not very good at this and usually just ramble on and make no sense when I try to tell them.
A huge congratulations on your new job! You should be very proud.
Also, thank you for the shout-out! I'm so glad that my post inspired you to do this. And I love your answers! (I found this post late and just read your Wednesday post about how Blogger won't publish this post in its entirety. But that's okay, because what you have here is great regardless.)
